Our Founder & CEO

Anisah Best

is a trailblazer and tech entrepreneur driven by a deep-rooted passion and unwavering commitment to bridging the digital divide.

Leveraging her technical expertise, knowledge, leadership skills, and powerful personal story, she works to inspire and uplift underserved communities.

Born and raised in East Baltimore, Maryland, Anisah comes from very humble beginnings. She often reflects,

“I’ve come a long way because of God, the prayers of my grandmother, the love and support of my sister, friends and the mentors who have uplifted and empowered me over the years. My only way to pay them back is to serve and give back.”

In 2019, Anisah was inspired to start her own organization Baltimore Technology Hub, a community-focused tech startup aiming to decrease the digital divide by increasing digital literacy stating:

.

“We live in a digital world, Technology is continuously  evolving. How can one build any skills in a digital age if they are not digitally competent or literate?”

This vision compelled her to make a bold move, pivoting out of her her role as a Senior Engineer in Software Development and Cybersecurity at Charles Schwab | TD Ameritrade to build innovative and impactful solutions at the grassroots level.

“I made a commitment to always lift as I climb.”

With a dynamic background spanning IT, sales, marketing, public speaking, community leadership. Anisah brings a unique, innovative and comprehensive perspective to the work of digital equity. Her technical expertise as a former senior engineer is matched by her hands-on, people-centered approach.

Growing up in Baltimore City and overcoming significant barriers and challenges, Anisah’s journey from adversity to tech leadership is a testament to resilience, vision, and purpose. Her commitment to serve and her personal involvement in every aspect of community engagement drive Baltimore Technology Hub’s mission to empower individuals through digital upskilling, education, and access.

“Through learning, pivoting and rolling with the punches, here I am still standing ALWAYS READY TO Serve and uplift other."

With a sharp strategic mind and a compassionate heart, Anisah leads every initiative with dedication and subject matter expertise. She transforms barriers into opportunities through the inclusive and community-rooted design of our services, creating real pathways for marginalized voices to thrive in today’s digital economy.

“Technology is an equalizer, All people need is access.”

Anisah’s leadership inspires lasting change

one community at a time proving that the right blend of vision and action can truly transform lives.

Her commitment to digital equity and inclusion fuels everything we do at Baltimore Technology Hub.
